Former New Zealand Missionaries
Elder Michael Farrer, from Springville, Utah, and Elder Truman Leishman served on missions in New Zealand at the same time in the mid-1960s. They were Zone Leaders of different mission zones at the same time. They have had a good time reliving those "good ole' days". Elder Farrer is a counselor to Pres. Robison, our Mission President. Elder and Sister Farrer will be going home in November after serving 23 months in the West Indies Mission.
Gopaul Family
Brother Gopaul is the Branch President of the Chaguanas branch. We spent an afternoon on Transfer Day, Oct. 15th, driving Elders LeBaron and Richards around in Chaguanas so they could introduce us to people in our new branch and so they could say good-bye since they were leaving for home after completing their missions. Elder Endeman, far right, is one of our elders staying in Chaguanas.

Sunday Dinner with our new family
Our first Sunday dinner with the East and West Elders. We had tuna sandwiches after church before visiting more west Chaguanas members.
Burger anyone?
This is your typical burger place and since there is a Burger King in town, I'm pretty sure I won't be stopping here any time soon.
1st Baptismal Service
Pictured is Brother Mohan, his two daughters and a neice. On our 2nd night in Trinidad we attended the baptism of Sister Mohan who was baptized by her husband. We never did get Sister Mohan isolated from the crowd to take a picture.
BIG AVOCADO
Our first meal in Trinidad was at the home of mission office couple Brother and Sister Coleman. Sister Coleman presented us with an avocado that was the biggest one I have ever seen. And it was good!
Chaguanas, Trinidad
We will be serving in the city of Chaguanas. It is located south east of Port of Spain.

General Conference Oct. 2008
We attended two sessions of conference before going into the MTC. In the picture with us are our son, David, and his wife, Marilla, and their two boys, David Jr. (5) and Joey (3).
A Visit to the MTC

West Indies
Our new home for 23 months starting Oct. 11th, 2008 Look for Trinidad down at the bottom of the string of islands. It is just north of Guyana and Venuzuela.

That is amazing how many baptisms you have had and attended. They are very lucky to have you both there. We will miss you at the reunion this year. Thanks for the pictures!
I love reading about your mission. I like the post with the baptism in the ocean(I'm a big ocean fan). That seems like the perfect place for you guys! I can't picture you guys serving in a cold place.

It`s been a long time we heard from each other, and many new things happened in the meantime.
The Christmas card I sent you was returned to me, and the first thing I thought was that you moved to a new house. I checked your address, and there was no mistake. Then I tried to find something on the Internet, and I was amazed to see you and dad Truman were already in Trinidad on your mission. When I was living with you as an exchange student I remember how you always said you would go on a mission when you retire. I am so happy for you, I know how much it means to you. I got to see your beautiful family pictures on Blogger.
Here in Belgrade, me and my family are doing just fine. Filip is almost five, goes to kindergarden and he is our great joy. I am to become an aunt soon, for my brother got married last year and his wife, Marina, is expecting a baby in April. I am still doing the same job and I love it. I had a chance to attend a course for simultaneous interpreters last year.
I wish you the very best in your mission. I`ll be keeping up with you through your blog.

What a great experience you are having. We are getting ready for more people to come starting next month. In the meantime, we are singing and acting and rehearsing.
