Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Time is flying by!

We're starting to pack our bags. Sister Jan Myers (just arrived in Guyana) hooked us up with someone who was able to ship us 4 lovely duffle bags with wheels. We are now starting to fill them up with the essentials to see how much more we will be able to take.

We had $700 worth of shots last week. Ouch! It hurt in the arms and in the wallet. I still have two more Hepatitis shots to get before I leave but there is still time to get them all in.

To help out with the finances, which are a tight squeeze right now, I have been substituting at the elementary school I just retired from. Although I could use the time at home getting things ready, we really need the money so I do what I have to do.

We are very grateful for Sister Leavitt who is serving in Chaguanas right now with her husband. Their time is up and we are going to take their place. She has been very helpful in looking for a place for us to stay. Nothing she found was as good as what they are in right now so, we are going to move into their place. The rent stretches our budget but we'll cut back on eating. HaHa! I should though, I could stand to lose a few pounds. The Leavitts are leaving so much stuff behind that we will save money by not having to purchase those items.
